SCOTT HUFFMAN (he/him) is a New York based actor, director, and playwright. He is a recent graduate of NYU Tisch Drama’s Playwrights Horizons Theater School, where he wrote and directed his own original work, including plays about gamers, gays, and greeks. For his dedication to art and the work of others he received the Playwrights Horizons Honor in Studio.

As a queer playwright, his identity constantly shapes the stories he chooses to tell and informs the way he tells them. Scott aspires to make work that is specific. Within specificity, it can be felt universally. His plays focus on people that desire nothing more than to feel truly seen. Despite taking in a variety of locations -, the desolate shores of Troy, an amorphous backyard in the Midwest, a seedy underground club - his writing is ultimately about human connection and the need to understand one another.

In an age where we are constantly hidden away, tucked behind our screens and fictionalized on social media, we have banished ourselves to a land of false connection. Through his work, he hopes to bridge our connective gaps and create community.
